The third and final stop of the PWL presented by Grain Wakeskates
The Wakeskating community came together this past weekend for the final stop of the PWL tour. We couldn’t have asked for better weather for camping, riding, fellowship and good times. Campers, RV’s and tents covered the grounds as the grass roots style event kicked off on Thursday with practice for all riders competing. Groups gathered with coolers and beach chairs to soak up the cool Georgia air as others hung closely to the shade under the historic Big Oak trees that call this magical place home.
Our host and one of the best in the industry do to it, the crew at Valdosta Wake Compound worked countless hours building and rearranging the advanced 2.0 cable for the contest. We closed out these last days of summer on Robin Lake at Callaway Gardens for the 2021 WWA Wakeboard Worlds and Nautique Wakesurf Masters competition for an action packed weekend that included history being made.
Off the dock with near perfect conditions on Day 1 the Amateur, Jr. Pro and Pro athletes went head to head in a heated semi-finals behind the award winning Super Air Nautique G23 and G23 paragon for the chance to advance to the next round. Among the highlighted included the Adaptive divisions who inspired those along the shoreline and those watching live across the globe.

“I needed this!”… a phrase heard several times over the weekend here on Lake Allatoona for event #4 of the 2021 Wake for Warriors season. A sense of deep gratitude came over the water as a reflection of how exciting and confident we all were in cherishing these special moments following the pandemic. The BuyWake crew joined Dave Deep, founder of WFW, and the rest of the group for another inspiring weekend full of blue skies, lake vibes, and shakas all around!

Kicking off the event, the chilly air of Friday morning lifted just as the coffee ran out and the riders started to shed their wetsuits. Boats were stocked with a quiver of wakeboards, wakesurfers and CGA vests provided by the good folks from Hyperlite Wake. For the new-goers, the day as a whole was an introduction to the healing power of water sports, and the more experienced veterans were captivated by a new challenge of foiling. Read More >
