We closed out these last days of summer on Robin Lake at Callaway Gardens for the 2021 WWA Wakeboard Worlds and Nautique Wakesurf Masters competition for an action packed weekend that included history being made.
Off the dock with near perfect conditions on Day 1 the Amateur, Jr. Pro and Pro athletes went head to head in a heated semi-finals behind the award winning Super Air Nautique G23 and G23 paragon for the chance to advance to the next round. Among the highlighted included the Adaptive divisions who inspired those along the shoreline and those watching live across the globe.

It’s been a long time coming for an event like the Body Glove Moxie Pro Series. The amount of support and engagement for an all women competition like this has been absolutely incredible. Starting with the online submissions all the way to the championship stop at Terminus Wakepark, this series has been filled with some amazing riding that has shown the world that women’s cable riding has gained a new caliber of technicality and style.

Kicking off the final stop of the series, the day started off with plenty of activities including a Body Glove SUP morning yoga class, foods trucks, and free beer, which added some extra spice to the mix that made you reminisce about some of the pre-pandemic pro competitions that we all remember and love. As for the women in this contest, they knew the assignment and took it to a whole other level. You could tell from some of the practice sessions that the riders were pushing themselves and testing new lines to hopefully take home the gold. Aside from the competition itself, the level of support that each of the women competitors had for each other throughout the day was like nothing I have ever seen before. The world premiere of the Straight8 film competition at the Cannes Film Festival made the top 25. Our film “Leaf a Legacy” featuring Jake Ramsdell was a smash hit and well received. Written by @reesedaquin and myself, Co directed 🎥 by @reesedaquin and @g_cottrell , and scored by Uncle, Nathan Frimmel and myself. Normally premiered at the Cannes Film Festival; The stipulations are you must make your entire film on one roll, and send the audio in separately. Because of this we have not seen the piece ourselves! So during the premiere will be our first watch!
