The 2021 Body Glove Moxie Pro Series Cable Finals

Photos by Chance Huffschmidt

It’s been a long time coming for an event like the Body Glove Moxie Pro Series. The amount of support and engagement for an all women competition like this has been absolutely incredible. Starting with the online submissions all the way to the championship stop at Terminus Wakepark, this series has been filled with some amazing riding that has shown the world that women’s cable riding has gained a new caliber of technicality and style.

Kicking off the final stop of the series, the day started off with plenty of activities including a Body Glove SUP morning yoga class, foods trucks, and free beer, which added some extra spice to the mix that made you reminisce about some of the pre-pandemic pro competitions that we all remember and love. As for the women in this contest, they knew the assignment and took it to a whole other level. You could tell from some of the practice sessions that the riders were pushing themselves and testing new lines to hopefully take home the gold. Aside from the competition itself, the level of support that each of the women competitors had for each other throughout the day was like nothing I have ever seen before. Win or lose, these women were cheering each other on and keeping the hype on the dock at an all-time high. Read More >

2019 Alliance ROTY: Year of the Pizza Boi

How about them apples…I mean pie slices?!

Massi Piffaretti: BuyWake.com Team Rider and Alliance ROTY

Damn, this could not have gone to a better rider, better influence on our sport, or better person in general.  All your hard work on and off the water paid off, Massi.

We had our hearts set on Massi (for obvious reasons), but it’s really inspiring to hear all of Massi’s peers rallying behind such a great rider as well.

Massi had an incredible year coming off a pretty gnarly injury, and you can tell that, as soon as he received the “clear to ride” from his doctor, Massi was ready to go to work.  And, THAT HE DID!

It’s undeniable that you are a threat behind the boat and have an incredible style that continually leaves jaws on the floor when you ride, but BRUH…let’s talk about your winching and cable skills really quick.  MIND-BLOWING. Read More >

Top 3-Stage Rocker Wakeboards for 2019

Get Buck with BuyWake

Wakeboards with 3-stage rockers feature two distinct bend points and three distinct planes on the bottom of the board. They’re distinct from continuous rocker wakeboards in that they respond with more bucking/explosive/vertical pop, while the pop offered by continuous rocker wakeboards can be characterized as more “horizontal” than “vertical.” Read on to discover our picks for the top 3-stage rocker wakeboards for 2019.

Liquid Force 2019 Remedy

Liquid Force 2019 Remedy

How does Harley Clifford win almost every contest he enters? Years of practice and dedication, of course, along with a little help from the Remedy. 2018 Ronix Wake Dealer Days at Radar Lake and All the Activities

We just got back from the 2018 Ronix Wake Dealer Days at Radar Lake and basically just checked everything off the ol’ bucket list.  The totality of what Herb O’Brien built definitely lived up to my expectations and more.  Radar Lake and the property it sits on is basically the eight wonder of the world.

Sleepless in Seattle

Billy and I flew into Seattle pretty early and decided to head to the Pike Place Market and grab some food before our trip to Radar, and it was exactly what I thought it would be.  Crowded.  We made our way past the throwing of dead fish and walked to a spot Billy had previously went to called Cutters Crabhouse that overlooked Elliott Bay in the Puget Sound.  Super sick spot and would recommend.

Off to Radar Lake

We hit the road and nothing shy of 30 minutes later we arrived at the pearly gates of heaven on earth.  Once we received the secret code we were in.  It was exactly as I had imagined.  The pristine waters of Radar Lake were in my direct line of site and a boat was headed towards us and the rider being pulled had a smile so large I could see it from hundreds of yards away.   Billy and I were given a truly mint camping site and we parked our epic rental car (Ford Focus “Titanium” edition) and got our gear dialed into our own separate tents for the trip.

After getting settled in and catching up with our rep, longtime friend and Ronix OG Danny Harf offered to show us around the property a bit.  I’m talking hundreds of acres in the pristine Pacific Northwest here people…trees that are over a hundred years old and trails for miles and miles.  So, we saddled up some trusty four wheel steeds and preceded to act like 13-year-olds who just stole their dad’s ATVs.   Such an epic adventure.  Here are a few one-handed driving photos (yeah…super easy and safe, let me tell you).

Visiting the Ronix HQ

We were given the opportunity to go visit the world headquarters of Ronix/Radar/Eight.3 (Square One Distribution), which was really cool to see in person.  Their warehouse is super high tech and features some of the coolest office spaces I’ve ever seen.  Really appreciated the level of detail that they work by.  They’ve set the bar pretty high, one of the most badass warehouses ever.

The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge

EDIT:  If you don’t like golf scroll past this one…hahaha

Oh, you better believe we did this.  The TPC Snoqualmie course is the only Jack Nicklaus designed course in the entire state of Washington.  Jason Standley (Ronix Shaper) organized a round of golf for a few of us and I ended up playing with Massi and D. Harf for what would be a round I’ll never forget.  Massi’s antics and outfit was one for the books and kept Dan and me laughing the entire time.  Basically, the views on this course were phenomenal and the course was in excellent shape, as it is preparing to host the 2018 Boeing Classic.  Seriously, the shit was super perfect.

Camp Fire Vibes

Can’t forget about the iconic camp fires that we’ve heard about and finally got to experience firsthand.  All we can say is that you have to be there because what is said around the fire stays at the fire.

P.S. You better step up your music playlist because it will be judged…hahaha
