They say everything is bigger in Texas right?  The level of riding this past weekend at the Texas stop of the Nautiques Wake Series Wake Open featured a stacked list of riders all gunning for the podium.  Several seasoned riders missed the cut into the finals, but one rider that made it that had everyone stoked was JD Webb.  Webb a veteran contest rider made his way through hard work and technical tricks and was dubbed the Peoples Champ that weekend.  The finals were smooth and everyone rode really well, but once again Harley Clifford etched out everyone else to take the top spot.

Inside The 2015 Wakeboard World Series

This year the WWA released a world series bigger than anything we have seen before.  Seriously, the locations and prize money are the best it has ever been.  We sat down with Corrie Wilson and she helped to answer some of our questions regarding the upcoming 2015 Wakeboard World Series.

2015 WBWS

BW:  So first things first – $425,000 is a ton of chedder.  How did you all manage to pull such funds?  “The 2015 Wakeboard World Series is unlike anything wake sports has seen in the past including the largest payout ever offered”

The WWA: We really wanted to raise the bar this year for the Wakeboard World Series. The WWA’s partners, both domestically and internationally, all share our vision for the future of wakeboarding. Everyone got together and really stepped up for this year’s Wakeboard World Series; we couldn’t be more excited. It wouldn’t be possible without great partners like Rockstar Energy Drink, Nautique, Malibu, Supra, and many others for being dedicated to the sport. Read More >

2014 Pro Wakeboard Tour Acworth Georgia

Summer for us is always kicked off with the first stop of the Pro Wakeboard Tour at Dallas Landing in Acworth, Georgia.   The Tour always brings out the best in Acworth every year.  It  introduces wakeboarding to people and families.  We have so many people stop by the Ambush and BuyWake.com tent asking our team about ways to get involved in wakeboarding.  The beach and shoreline is filled with all different kinds of people, whether it’s their 5th year in a row being out there to families stumbling across the contest by accident on a random Saturday.  Not only is there a great turn out on the beach, but the city of Acworth puts on an amazing block party in the heart of downtown every year.  They have so much going on into the night with live bands, food and booze stands along with all the restaurants putting on amazing specials.  Each year the city of Acworth throws down a solid job of hosting the first stop of the tour.
