Time to Take a Trip with the Boys
2016 Hyperlite, Byerly, and Nautique! Oh, My!
Having Fun in the Sun with Nautique Boats
Last weekend we had the opportunity to go visit the Marine Max Buford location and meet up with our Nautique Boats family! They were in town for a “Ride with the Pros” event then headed to the Nautique Wake Surf Nationals and guess what…they had a 2016 G23! It was great catching up with Noah Flegel and Jimmy LaRiche, and our longtime friend and rep for Hyperlite/Byerly, Eddie Beverly. Eddie, or “EBev,” as he is most known by, had a special treat for us to see with a quiver of 2016 Hyperlite and Byerly surfers. We must say that these two brands knocked it out of the park this year. Most notably Hyperlite has this insane new shape called “The Time Machine.” Seriously, if you know anything about surfing this board is similar to the Tomo surfboards Vader series, but tweaked for wakesurfing. If that weren’t enough, the Time Machine features a cork top for maximum grip, as well as all new Futures Fins! The Byerly crew also have another banger with the 2016 Action, as it features Durashell construction with a EPS core and yes, Byerly Futures Fins! You would be wise to add either one of these to your quiver.
Wakeboarding’s Coolest Dude | Blake Bishop
Yes! Blake Bishop has his own cable park

Recently, a few of the Ambush Board Co. and BuyWake.com Team Riders ran out of town to visit fellow team rider Blake Bishop at his private cable park. You may or may not have heard of this kid, but one thing is certain – you will remember his name. Blake is an amazing 16 year old kid with the seasoned skills of a veteran and is backed by Slingshot Wake. Cole Vanthof sat down with Blake and probed his brain with some random questions. Take a minute to get to know this up and coming Georgia Boy.
1.Who is Blake Bishop?
I’m a 17 year old wakeboarder from Atlanta, Georgia.
2. What are your thoughts on the new generation of wakeboarders?
The new generation is coming in hot. Everyone has new and creative rail hits these days so I can only imagine what’s in store for the future.
The Next Evolution in 2.0
Our good friend and Team Rider – Quinn Silvernale posted this gem of a instagram post recently and it really got us going. See the System 2.0 is at the forward movement in progressive wake right now. The System 2.0 is somewhat inexpensive and can be set up literally anywhere you choose. After seeing this video it will have you saying “Checkout this System 2.OH MY GOD DID YOU SEE THIS”. The multi pool and gaps in this video show that something big….really big is about to go down this year!
We are really stoked for what Quinn has going on at his new full cable at Valdosta Wake Compound and you are most defiantly going to see us there soon! Come join us!
2015 Atlanta Boat Show w/ Ambush Board Co. & Nautique Boats
There is no better cure for the winter blues than when the Boat Show comes to town! This year’s boat show marks a long run of 15 years in a row for me. It’s a great time to catch up with friends and meet new people associated with the water sports industry. Ambush Board Co. and Nautique Boats set up in the Marine Max of Georgia booth and displayed an exemplary selection of boats from the 2015 lineup.
The G Series boats attracted a lot of attention and featured some outstanding new colorways this year. Nautique stepped it up with two colors in particular – Orange Metal Flake & Purple Metal Flake. The depth in the paint is astonishing in person! All of the Nautique boats were filled with people exploring all the details of the interior and learning about the new Linc 2.0 Helm System. Lines of people waited patiently for their turns to board the G21, G23, and G25. Seeing the boats in person was such an amazing experience and it was unbelievable to see people stay on the boats for 15-30 minutes at a time.
