This year the WWA and Nautique had 6 stops all over the world for their Wakesurf Series. The final event was this weekend at the legendary Robin Lake at Callaway Gardens, home of the Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament. The temperatures were high and the amount of money being given away was even higher. A total of $60,000 was awarded to both pro and amateur wakesurf divisions this weekend. That is not a typo. BuyWake teamed up with Hyperlite and had some of the latest 2020 wakesurfers to show those that were at the event. A few lucky people picked up some goods to take home with them. One of the highlights was seeing the new 2020 Nautique G23 in action all weekend, but for a couple of the boys here it was being able to wakesurf behind the event boat and on Robin Lake for the first time. We look forward to another great time at Callaway Gardens!
Summer Ride Tour – ATLANTA with Phase Five Wakesurfing.
In the third installment of the Summer Ride Tour, John Akerman stopped by the shop and scooped up the van for a road trip to Atlanta. The first stop was the Liner’s house (AKA Surf Dad and Surf Mom) where the crew stayed for the majority of the trip. They were absolutely amazing hosts! The boys surfed their brains out and one of the trip highlights was John signing Gabe’s Nautique G23! After a fun stay with the Liners, they packed up the van and had a demo day with Watersports Central and BuyWake.com on Lake Allatoona at the famous Blue Cat Lodge location. John spent the day coaching up everyone that came out. One of those riders was P5 team rider Jake Borton. Jake is one the best wakesurf enthusiasts we know and he reps P5 with a passion. The boys were stoked to get to hang out with him. Final stop on this road trip was with P5 team rider Leland Watkins to surf and have a bit of foil fun. Thank you to all the friends and families that have come out and made it possible to ride some waves thus far on the Summer Ride Tour!

2019 Wakeskate World Championships
What a weekend. The Wakeskate World Championships went down this past weekend and with hundreds of thousands in attendance (give or take), the world’s best wakeskaters competed for a $10,000 first place purse. Bob Soven is a man of many talents and putting on a world-class event may or may not be one of them.
That’s a wrap on the #WakeskateWorldChampionships. What started out as a fever dream in the mind of Bob Soven turned into a sick event that saw some of the most progressive riding behind the boat ever. Full recap edit is dropping at #BeersandPremieres during Surf Expo. Don’t worry, it’s worth the wait…thanks to all the sponsors for making this event happen! 📸: @jeffshotthat
