The Next Evolution in 2.0

Our good friend and Team Rider – Quinn Silvernale posted this gem of a instagram post recently and it really got us going.  See the System 2.0 is at the forward movement in progressive wake right now.  The System 2.0 is somewhat inexpensive and can be set up literally anywhere you choose.  After seeing this video it will have you saying “Checkout this System 2.OH MY GOD DID YOU SEE THIS”.  The multi pool and gaps in this video show that something big….really big is about to go down this year!

We are really stoked for what Quinn has going on at his new full cable at Valdosta Wake Compound and you are most defiantly going to see us there soon!  Come join us!

“Leftovers” – WMJ

Our good friend and Ambush Board Co. Team Rider Wesley Mark Jacobsen and Jeff McKee just dropped this super sweet video!  Nothing better than sessioning with the homies, here’s a few clips from the past couple weeks in Charleston, SC.

Checkout all the latest Slingshot Wake gear for 2015!

Keep It simple – Go Big

It’s a new year and not the ideal temperature for riding, but every year you should have a new wake goal.  Learn a new invert or add a 180 to a existing trick you have is the most common thing to do.  Well, this year it’s for the guy who hasn’t ridden in a while or takes 1 set every so often.  Slingshot has a new board this year called the Nomad and it’s here to revive the passion you once had wakeboarding.   The Nomad is about having fun and making wakeboarding easier.  This board is all about increased stability, strong pop, softer landings, cruising at slower speeds, and a much larger surface area.   It’s big.  It’s really big, but it’s really a simple idea, and a perfect one at that.  You don’t need a super aggressive board or your typical 142cm size anymore, you need a Nomad.  This board is built for larger riders or riders with bad knees who really want to get out and slash around and throw some lofty wake-to-wake jumps.  It comes in a 150, 155, and 160, and it’s guaranteed to make you have fun again on the water! Congrats Shredtown! ROTY

You know there must be no greater feeling than winning Rider of The Year!  How about three guys in your crew making it?  That’s the news you will see in this years Alliance Wake Photo Annual.  Shredtown has been making a name for themselves for some time now and with their most recent film Drop The Gun all but solidified it.  For years they have pushed winching and getting creative at unique spots and with the new addition of the Shredtown compound where they have their own System 2.0 that’s when things elevated at a higher level.  Congrats Andrew, Davis, and Chris on all the hard work and we all look forward to more unique videos in the future!

20 under 20 w/ Blake Bishop: The Outsiders

New to the wake scene is a killer new site called The Outsiders.  With a diverse stance on Wake x Art x Music x Culture they are supplying some fresh air to this industry.  The site just launched on Monday and it already has a good amount of content that you need to check out.  The “Not Just Another Harley Interview” is a good one and he lets you in on some interesting events in his life thus far.  Another fun and fresh section is the 20 under 20 and it starts of with AmbushBoardCo team rider Blake Bishop…aka the future heartbreaker.  Definitely bookmark this site and stay up with core wake culture…you won’t be disappointed.
