2017 Nautique Masters at Callaway Gardens

The 58th Nautique Masters

This past weekend we traveled to Pine Mountain, GA, to Callaway Gardens to attend the Masters Water Ski and Wakeboard Tournament presented by Nautique.  Ambush Board Co. has been at this event for 20 years with a merch tent with one of the best views of the action on Robin Lake.  Going into the weekend everyone was buzzing about what would the Pro Men’s Wakeboard podium end up looking like.  We got to see a four man final of Tony Iacconi, Cory Teunissen, Harley Clifford, and Mike Dowdy, and it was absolutely mental!  We predicted a Harley vs. Dowdy showdown and after seeing Cory crush it we knew it would be a toss-up because his run was mind-blowing.

Alliance Wake Hazed & Confused: Florida Bound

Alliance Wake Hazed & Confused, Part 3

The final installment of the Hazed and Confused video series from Alliance Wake didn’t disappoint, and neither did Part 2!  The crew stopped by Valdosta Wake Compound to shred with Cody Hesse, Wes Mark Jacobsen, and Cross Bearden, and the riding goes OFF!

Getting out of Texas started off slowly with the bus breaking down, but they got ‘er fixed up then headed to Valdosta, GA, to meet up with the homies at VWC.  After two solid days of camping and good times the whole crew headed into Florida to catch a morning set at Shaun Murray‘s to finish off one hell of a trip.  Thanks Sid for driving us around and putting up with us.  Cheers!

Noah absolutely crushed it this weekend in the wakesurf division at the Pro Wake Tour.  Noah has been on a tear as of late, not only on his wakeboard, but…of course, also on his wakesurfer.  Noah proves that riding behind his Nautique G23 is paying off and he can lay down anything.  Check it out:

Harley Clifford Wins Pro Wake Tour Stop #1 in Birmingham, Alabama

Harley Clifford Wins PWT Stop #1

What a weekend!   In case you missed it, the first stop of the 2017 Pro Wake Tour was in Birmingham, Alabama and competitive wakeboarding is at an all-time high right now.  BuyWake.com team riders Harley Clifford and Mike Dowdy are total warriors battling against each other on the water this year.  One of the heaviest and hardest things to do after injury in get back to riding shape, and both Mike and Harley took no days off in the off-season rebuilding their bodies to peak performance.  If you follow them on Instagram you can see the insane tricks they have in their respective arsenals, and they’re bringing these tricks to the tour.  Congrats to Harley for winning the 1st stop of PWT, but with the way Mike is riding he is sure to take a win very soon (only 1.17 points separated them…so you know it’s coming). Valdosta Wake Compound – Yardsale

What a Weekend!

 

We just returned from arguably the best pro wake contest we’ve ever been to: the Slingshot sponsored event properly titled Yardsale held at Valdosta Wake Compound.

This invitation only event was run on a Sesitec System 2.0 course set up unlike anything we’ve ever seen!  With one day of practice and three full days of Best Line, Best Feature, and Best Trick, there was no lack of bangers.  Our close friend Jeff Mathis took some incredible images that we wanted to share.  Watch the video now!
