A glorious view from our Nautique G21

One of the highlights of being a partner with Nautique is definitely going to the Southeast Regatta. We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones in this community of Nautique owners. The amount of new super trick G23s, Paragons, and some really sweet 210s was all-time. Our friends at Watersports Central were next to us and it was super fun to hang out with Jeff McKee, Rusty Malinowski, John Akerman, Erica Lang, and so many more Nautique Athletes.

There are two more Nautique Regattas this year one, in Texas and then Arizona, so if you live near those locations, we highly suggest you attend!

Wakeskate Wednesday at West Rock Wake Park

West Rock Wake Park

We’ve teamed up with The Professional Wakeskate League for some fun this summer and have been promoting #wakeskatewednesday pretty hard! The first stop was at our friend Daniel’s cable park called West Rock Wake Park…and it went OFF. As an added bonus, we are sending one of our BW x LF wakeskates to all the Wakeskate Wednesdays for people to use for the day…and, at the end of the day, one lucky person gets to keep it! Keep an eye out on Instagram for more of these #wakeskatewednesday coming to you town soon!

When’s a good day to Wakeskate? Everyday. ⁣⁣But…..⁣⁣Huge thanks to everyone that made our #wakeskatewednesday event such a success. Thank you to the @thepwl & @buywake & riders @bsstl@travisdoran & @alex.ambs for making it happen. Make sure you give these guys a follow, buy a Wakeskate, and join them on their next stop to help grow the sport! ⁣⁣Congrats to @jdkrieger77 on the new skate from @buywake! We’re looking forward to seeing you and the fam rip that around the park. ⁣⁣📸  @forestcityphotographs Read More >

“I Needed This!” – Wake for Warriors – Lake Allatoona

Connect, Share, Celebrate and Serve. It's what Wake for Warriors does!
Connect, Share, Celebrate and Serve. It’s what Wake for Warriors does!

“I needed this!”… a phrase heard several times over the weekend here on Lake Allatoona for event #4 of the 2021 Wake for Warriors season.  A sense of deep gratitude came over the water as a reflection of how exciting and confident we all were in cherishing these special moments following the pandemic.  The BuyWake crew joined Dave Deep, founder of WFW, and the rest of the group for another inspiring weekend full of blue skies, lake vibes, and shakas all around!

Kicking off the event, the chilly air of Friday morning lifted just as the coffee ran out and the riders started to shed their wetsuits. Boats were stocked with a quiver of wakeboards, wakesurfers and CGA vests provided by the good folks from Hyperlite Wake. For the new-goers, the day as a whole was an introduction to the healing power of water sports, and the more experienced veterans were captivated by a new challenge of foiling. Read More >

Down and Dirty with Dirty Dowdy

It’s been a while since we’ve had any major pro events thanks to the pandemic, and even longer for Mike Dowdy due to his knee injuries over the last few seasons. We thought it was a good time to catch up with Mike and ask him about his new venture, The Wake University (WakeU), and pick his brain about the current state of wake. I hope you enjoy our interview!

JL: Yo, Mike! How has the year been treating you so far?

MD: Justin! Great catching up with you. Our year has been great. Me and my wife, Darriane, are expecting our first baby boy in August! So were extremely excited for him to join us.

JL: Congratulations on the incoming little one! Has your focus towards your future changed with your family in mind? Read More >

New Nautique, Some Golf, Daytona Bike Week and Back

How’s that for a title? Last week I ventured down to Florida with my good friend EBev (OG Hyperlite rep) to participate in some “team building” with our good friends and partners, Nautique. It was without a doubt one of the more fun trips I’ve ever had. Jam packed each day is an understatement.

Lake Nona Golf & Country Club

Our trip started with a nice little round of golf at a little hole in the wall golf course called Lake Nona Golf & Country Club a week after it hosted the 2021 Gainbridge LPGA event. NBD. We had a blast from start to finish, as the fairways were pure, the bunkers were visited, and the greens rolled about as fast as it gets. It was awesome to spend the day with such an inspiring group of guys that truly have a passion for their respective brands and know how to unwind and get away from the day-to-day and enjoy a solid round. Well played, boys. Read More >
