Professional wakeskaters Brian Grubb (USA) and Dominik Preisner (GER) travelled to the Philippines to have an epic winch session at one of the most beautiful spots in the world. The famous rice terraces of Banaue are considered to be the Eighth Wonder of the World and were surely the perfect playground for an unique wakeskate session!
Respect for the environment was a priority from the beginning of this project! The team has assured that the plants and wildlife have neither been damaged nor disturbed at any time during the project. All agreements have been made together with the locals and under respect of their traditions and culture.

Although we don’t know much about Stephane Tranne and his enigmatic wakeboarding career, we certainly remember his small part in the vintage Hyperlite team flick HYPE. By 1998’s standards Stephane’s riding was extremely technical. Just watch this old contest footage that surfaced last year and you’ll see exactly what we mean. Stephane, if you’re out there, you have a beast of an OHH.
If you are a wakeboarder right now pursuing a higher education, you’re a lucky cat. The collegiate wake scene is thriving and Lake Lanier went off today. We’ve attended the Lake Lanier Islands stop of the Empire Wake Series for nearly half a decade and have never seen such enthusiasm, skill, and support from riders & fans.
