Alliance Wake Hazed & Confused: Florida Bound

Alliance Wake Hazed & Confused, Part 3

The final installment of the Hazed and Confused video series from Alliance Wake didn’t disappoint, and neither did Part 2!  The crew stopped by Valdosta Wake Compound to shred with Cody Hesse, Wes Mark Jacobsen, and Cross Bearden, and the riding goes OFF!

Getting out of Texas started off slowly with the bus breaking down, but they got ‘er fixed up then headed to Valdosta, GA, to meet up with the homies at VWC.  After two solid days of camping and good times the whole crew headed into Florida to catch a morning set at Shaun Murray‘s to finish off one hell of a trip.  Thanks Sid for driving us around and putting up with us.  Cheers!

Valdosta Wake Compound – Yardsale

What a Weekend!

 

We just returned from arguably the best pro wake contest we’ve ever been to: the Slingshot sponsored event properly titled Yardsale held at Valdosta Wake Compound.

This invitation only event was run on a Sesitec System 2.0 course set up unlike anything we’ve ever seen!  With one day of practice and three full days of Best Line, Best Feature, and Best Trick, there was no lack of bangers.  Our close friend Jeff Mathis took some incredible images that we wanted to share.  Watch the video now!

Valdosta Wake Compound Wake Foiler Session

Today the temperature here in beautiful Kennesaw, GA is 82° and you know what that means. It means we are nearly amidst full-on WAKE season. The rising temperature prompted us to expand our quiver of boards to ride. From different wakeboards, wakeskates, and wakesurfers we have something new for everyone to try in our Nautique GS22. Young Guns – Blake Bishop & Victor Salmon at Thai Wake Park

Almost 2 years ago I went to Bangkok to shoot a online part with Victor Salmon, but only a day before I arrived to Thai Wake Park Victor injured his ankle and the whole project was put on hold.

Earlier this year, on my way back home from Australia, I thought it would be a good idea to stop in Bangkok for a week to meet up with him again and finally make it happen.
Luckily Blake Bishop was around at that time too so I was confident to bang out an incredible, next level edit with Slingshot’s Young guns.

With high expectations we started our 5 days of shooting and I was blown away by both of their riding. The first “warmup“ session with Victor on the pipes ( around 2:40 ) was just incredible; almost every shot was a first try. You can tell that he knows his home cable like no one else and his skill on this very technical setup has progressed a lot since I saw him the last time.  With his style, Blake brought in the perfect mix. He is one of the most stylish riders I know of and re-viewing his shots after the long days was a great pleasure. His tricks on the double kink rail and the following Indy roll to blind starting around 1:00 were by far my favorite. Read More >

2017 Valdosta Yard Sale

Valdosta Yard Sale

The Valdosta Yard Sale is a celebration of wakeboarding brought to you by Rockstar Energy Drink, Slingshot Wakeboards, Sesitec, BuyWake.com, and many more.  Located at the Valdosta Wake Compound in South Georgia, the Yard Sale will take place April 20th-23rd on VWC’s pro Sesitec System 2.0 course.  This event will be an invitational contest bringing together 35 of the world’s best park/urban riders for a long weekend of board shreddin’, live music, and, most importantly, GOOD VIBES.

In addition to the invites, there will be an open qualifier taking place on the full cable Thursday, April 20th in which ANYONE is welcome to register and compete for the chance to win 1 of 5 wildcard spots to join the crew under the System 2.0.  We will also be hosting a Pro Women’s contest (full cable best lap) on Friday, April 21st, because we LOVE the ladies, and feel that the more love for park riding we can put in one place, the better.  While we’re on that topic, the first stop of The Wakeskate Tour will also be going down under the exclusive wakeskate Sesitec System 2.0 course.  This is sure to be a weekend of EPIC proportions, so mark your calendars because YOU’RE INVITED.  That’s right, the Yard Sale/Wakeskate Tour will of course be open to the public and the full cable will be spinning every day for friends and family members to get wet and enjoy this one-of-a-kind 2017 season kickoff.
